Corrections & Updates

Last reviewed: October 9, 2026.

Measurement and product information can change. Manuals are revised, accessories differ between model generations and technical standards are updated. We welcome reports of inaccurate, unclear or outdated content.

How to report a potential error

Use our contact page and include the article URL, the passage in question, the reason it appears incorrect and any relevant document or reference. Please avoid sending private customer records, passwords, equipment access details or other confidential information.

How a report is assessed

We first identify whether the issue concerns a factual error, unclear wording, an outdated product specification, a missing limitation or a broken source. An appropriate manufacturer document, standard, primary technical source or other reliable evidence may be needed to resolve the question. A reader report is a reason to investigate, not automatic proof that a claim is wrong.

Corrections versus routine updates

Corrections fix material inaccuracies. Where a change would materially affect a procedure, decision or safety interpretation, the article may include a correction or update note describing what changed. Routine updates can include clearer wording, updated links, improved examples and new references without changing the core claim.

Unresolved or uncertain claims

If sufficient evidence is not available, the claim should be qualified, attributed or removed rather than stated confidently. Readers should not use an article as sole evidence for regulatory compliance or critical equipment decisions.

Product revisions

When a model has been replaced or superseded, a guide may retain historical instructions but should distinguish those instructions from the features of newer instruments. Always verify the part number and manufacturer documentation for the instrument in use.
